CENTRAL VALLEY CHAPTER (NGH)

MEETING MINUTES

Present:  Ginny Lucas, Janis Kembel, James Rightmire, Claudia Matzek, Stephanie Heilberg, Carl Stange

Our guest speaker was Jayne Freeman, currently a local publicist with The Williams Group.  She has had more than twenty years experience in sales and marketing, relying on “out of the box thinking that has been successful in both the small and large business markets.”  The attending members divided her speaker’s fee of $75.

We dispensed with “small talk,” which usually accompanies our brown bag lunch for the first half hour of each meeting as we network “with our mouths full.”  Instead, Jayne filled the entire three hours sharing personal and professional anecdotes and helpful information geared toward the practice of hypnotherapy and the promotion of books.

During break (1) Ginny announced that David Ospital will no longer be attending chapter meetings, as he is entering a nursing program, with his wife Leianne (RN) as his tutor.  Everyone was pleased to hear he is not abandoning his dream of opening his own hypnotherapy practice in the Bay Area, but only putting it on hold until a later stage of his life.  We all agreed that he will do well as a nurse and will hopefully apply his hypnotherapy skills in that capacity.  Meanwhile, he remains available to Evergreen Professional Hypnotherapy on an “as needed” basis.  (2) James announced that he will be opening his Evergreen affiliate office in Modesto in September, until then seeing clients at the Stockton location.

Meeting adjourned at 3:00, after questions, answers, and discussion of the presentation.
