EXCITING NEWS!
If you’ve ever taken one of our classes, you may be aware of the fun I (Ginny) have with these words: conventional and unconventional. One definition of conventional is, “in keeping with the manmade rules of civilization.” Unconventional can be defined as, “in keeping with the laws of nature.” This means that conventional means unnatural, while unconventional means natural. Now see? Wasn’t that fun? Frank and I are always looking for ways to make things better for others as well as for ourselves, and we’ve recently discovered two new arrivals on the self-improvement scene, both of which are unconventional , which makes some people uneasy until they understand the actual meaning of the word; and now that you do (natural), please also rest assured that we never use a technique with clients or make a recommendation until we have determined from firsthand experience that it works!
Now, based on our study of scientific research pioneered by Dr. Daniel Amen, a neuroscientist, psychiatrist and brain imaging expert, we can provide specific pragmatic recommendations to our weight clients that are based on analysis of the brain-body connection (determined by a five-minute questioning process). How exciting is that? Very! Because nervous eaters, emotional eaters, compulsive eaters, impulsive eaters, angry eaters, bored eaters, habitual eaters, etc. -- have all shown varying over or under activity in different parts of the brain, according to Dr. Amen’s extensive brain imaging research. This means that recommendations commonly accepted and applied generally in the past, can now be tailored to your specific needs that, when met, result in a healthier chemical balance.

But weight, there’s more! Personally, I enjoy exercising, but not everyone does. And not everyone has the time. And not everyone feels in good enough shape to even begin (let alone maintain) an exercise regimen. Now I’m pleased, tickled pink actually, to tell you there’s a machine you can stand on in your street clothes and do nothing more than hold on --because its platform vibrates at different frequencies, and tones every muscle in your body.
