With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I’d like to first say thank you to all those of you who have placed your confidence in us by using our services and/or recommending us to others. It is truly a privilege to help you achieve the goal(s) you set for yourselves. I (Ginny) recently attended an awards luncheon where many speakers expressed their thanks to an audience of 300 or so. I was thankful that the food was tasty, but additionally I appreciated it when a young lady introduced herself to me to say how much she enjoys receiving our newsletters. Sometimes I hear back from readers, which is one of my rewards, so she and I had exchanged e-mails. Now I can put a smiling face to that correspondence, and say not only “You know who you are” but -- thanks so much for taking the time to speak some very kind words.
The woman sitting beside me explained that she is a vegan. I told her I was a vegetarian way back when I met Frank, but shortly after we married we decided to have a baby, and during my pregnancy I began to crave meat. Turns out I was anemic, and meat is a primary source of iron. I had to overcome my moral objections to eating flesh, and did so by drawing from Native American tradition -- where a prayer is said (1) prior to a hunt, for guidance, (2) when a kill occurs, for the soul of the animal, (3) as the meat is prepared, and (4)just before eating. We all have much to be thankful for, but on Turkey Day, why not join me this year in saying a silent “Thank you” to Tom -- for the supreme sacrifice of his life.
Frank and I are also thankful (and excited) to announce the opening of an Evergreen affiliate office in the Angels Camp area, slated for the first of the year! Mac McDaniel’s previous practice was in Washington state, he is a graduate of The North American Institute of Neurotherapy, and is currently completing my mentoring program -- which ensures that we’re all on the same page in terms of business philosophy and professional ethics. If you live in the Mother Lode (or know someone who does), we’re pleased to recommend his services. For more info go to our web site -- www.egreen.net If there’s anything Frank, David, Dan and I enjoy more than helping others, it’s helping others help others. Not only other professionals, but people from different walks of life as well. That’s what our Rising Tide peer level support group is all about. So many of you are “naturals” -- with so much to offer! This group is an opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from simple self-help conversational techniques that are fun and effective in problem solving, goal setting, and stress management. Everyone leaves every meeting with a “helper’s high.” Hard to beat, especially at the price -- FREE! Give us a call if you’re interested. You’ll be thankful you did!
In closing, silly as it may seem, I’d like to say thanks to the many squirrels who share Frank’s and my home site and keep us endlessly entertained. One of them is on the trunk of a tree right outside my window at this very moment, looking in at me and wiggling its bushy tail. I think that means, “Hey, don’t forget to mention me!” So I did. Nutty, I know.
