Welcome to EVERGREEN OUTREACH!

I (Ginny) am too excited to save our best for last! James, our Modesto affiliate, has outgrown his office on J Street and is relocating to 416 Scenic Dr, Suite 204. His new space will include a classroom that seats 30, a recording studio, two restrooms, and a break room. His phone number remains the same: 209-622-3837.

Frank and I were impressed by James the moment we met him. He is personable, intelligent, and caring. As time passed and he decided to get serious about a hypnotherapy practice, it was my privilege to serve as his mentor. His goal was to grow his business primarily by applying clinical skills that would inspire clients to refer others to him, He is doing exactly that and we’ve been pleased to offer our support. Our goal has been to prepare him to step into a bigger picture -- we’ve long seen James as the future of Evergreen.

This is the year I turn 70 and Frank is following a few years behind me. Our plan is to move to Hawaii sometime in the next few years with our oldest son and daughter-in-law, who have chosen to be close by us as we two get older and “funnier,” for lack of a better word.

James is in place to run both the Modesto and Stockton office, when that time comes. We feel fortunate, grateful, and proud to assure our clients that they will be in good hands, as James’s policies, office protocol, and business philosophy are congruent with our own. We haven’t started packing our personal belongings or planning the going-away party yet. They are years down the road; however, there will be a good time to be had by all who attend the official opening of the new Modesto facility.

But wait, there’s more! James’s wife Rainee is joining him in the practice. She has completed my mentoring program, and is currently serving her internship at Evergreen while working on earning her PhD in psychology. How can it get any better than that?

Watch for your invitation in a future newsletter, to join in the celebration of the new Modesto office and to meet James and Rainee, if you haven’t already. For those of you who have read our book, Charming Children, this will also be an opportunity to meet Elliott, who inspired its writing!

On that subject, Charming Children is now available as an audio book at www.CharmingChildrenTheBook.com and www.Egreen.net. I expect to announce in my next newsletter that you’ll also be able to download it as an e-book, but we need a little more time to make that happen.

On Thursday May 12th we’ll be in Barnes & Noble at the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento (7 p.m.) to meet customers and autograph books, and on Saturday May 21st we’ll be back in the Stockton store for Stockton Unified School’s Young Authors event. Stop by and mention this newsletter, and we’ll give you our free six-minute stress reduction CD!

Now on the subject of writers, if you are one or know one who may be interested in attending a Central Valley Writers Symposium, with an opportunity to speak to the public and to display and sell your/their publications, please contact me by e-mail: docgin@egreen.net. We are in the early stages of planning this event, which promises to be well received in the community and fun for everyone. Please put “CV Writers” in your subject line. If you don’t hear back from me with an application, please follow up with a call - 209.472.0722.

On a final note, if you're fed up with all the William/Kate hype, read no further; although this is actually about my granddaughters, not the monarchy. Annabella (almost 7) and Evelyn (almost 5) spent the night with us and when they woke up I had set their little table up in front of the big screen -- complete with lace table cloth, white candles, and a vase of freshly cut roses. While we watched a REAL prince marry his REAL princess, we sipped coffee/cream/sugar from china cups and saucers (with pinkies extended); and yes, the girls wore hats. (The only hats I own are baseball caps and a Stetson.) I am thrilled for William that he is grounding himself in reality as best he can, and fulfilling his mother's dream for him by marrying for love. (I love love.) Closer to home, it warms my heart to know that one day when William is King and Katherine is Queen, my granddaughters will remember the royal wedding they watched in full regalia, with their doting gramma (and grampa taking pictures of our own special event).
