While in high school David began building his collection of books on hypnosis, hypnotism, and hypnotherapy, and applied basic techniques with friends. His first experience proved successful in helping someone stop smoking marijuana. He joined the Army in 1987, was honorably discharged in 1990. While attending community college he was recalled to serve in Desert Storm, after which he earned his Associates Degree and began his formal education to become a hypnotherapist. In 1995 he opened a hypnotherapy practice in Santa Rosa, later shared an office in Cotati and, following his Acumen Certification Training, began seeing clients at Evergreen’s Stockton location. David has practiced Martial Arts for more than twenty years, with an emphasis on Aikido and Tai Chi. As a past instructor he made clear to students the importance of coordinating mind and body for optimum performance. David used hypnosis twice to help his wife through labor and delivery. Their daughters are now seven and nine years old. He is available as a public speaker and currently has plans to teach hypnosis-related classes in the Bay Area.
